And I do empathize with the reality that publishers have investors breathing down their neck, and in turn they are forced to rush unfinished games to release. I agree with your sentiment that money talks. At least they are commited to keep working on it so have some faith in the developper, they are often not the ones calling the shots anyway. The deadline was moved up once by a couple of months and I am guessing they were not allowed to do that again. There are deadlines to be met and devs often can't work around that because of investors and publishers demands so all they can do is set priorities and keep working hard to deliver all the must have features on their roadmap. It is ok to complain, just don't blame the hardworking guys that are not part of the decision making process We will just have to learn to live with it as this is the new world order so to speak. This also happens in other sectors where deadlines and investor demands are a thing, not just in software development. I for one do not care about multiplayer so have no complaints and am happy with my purchase. It is unfortunate but and it is what it is.All you can do as consumer is make an informed decision wether or not to buy immediatly / preorder or wait it out until you are certain that the things you expect to be requirements for the base game have all been implemented. But it reeks of the same odd semi-release nonsense I've been running into over the last few years. but why should it even need to in the first place? Why in the world wouldn't the full release of the game just come with all of the available beard hair color options to match the standard hair color choices? Were they so pressed for time that they couldn't even iron out the basic cosmetic features offered? Again, needless to say, this is a VERY minor issue. ![]() ![]() except they only implemented TWO beard color options compared to the 10+ in standard hair color options. In the full release, they indeed fixed this problem. In the beta, there was no option to color facial hair. I had another issue as well that sort of goes along the same lines. The fact the game released with this option grayed out speaks volumes. Pardon me for expecting games to be released somewhat completed without need of consistent monthly updates to get standard features implemented. This truly does seem to be the battlecry of the modern gaming community. Just be patient and soon an update will roll out so you can have all the multiplayer fun you've always wanted. Afterall the majority of the playerbase plays these games for the single player experience. Most likely they had more pressing matters to implement first like getting to single player part to work perfectly. It is a new engine they are using so obviously they can't just rehash older code from previous releases like was the case with the previous tropico versions where devs already had a framework set up on which they could expand new features like multiplayer. ![]() Originally posted by Wasted:if it was an easy thing to do I am sure they would have implemented it already.
